Joel Woollen is an apostolic recording artist and songwriter with deep roots in southern gospel music. As a child, Joel grew up listening to music and attending concerts by such groups as The Rambos, The Hinsons, and The Goodmans. Being the son of a preacher and pastor, he was singing with his mom and siblings in their church as well as other churches and camp meetings at a very young age.  Joel also began playing drums at age four and was playing in his dad’s church by the time he was five. He and his wife, Marietta, have five children, Price, Isaac, Nathan, Maryana, and Cash.   In 2004, Joel released his debut self-titled album, which was produced by Carroll McGruder. Surrender, his latest album, was released in February of 2019. He’s been blessed with the opportunity to share the stage with gospel music greats Lauren Talley and David Phelps.   Joel Woollen’s goal and mission is to spread the message of Jesus Christ through gospel music and to see lives touched and changed through music ministry.
